Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in the United States is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and driving merchandising and freight-processing activities.

You will assist with store operations, uphold policies, ensure cleanliness, and help maintain a high-energy, customer-focused environment while supporting multiple duties and directives across store activities.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards.
• Process directives related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms, floors, trash.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment with customers and associates.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow per productivity standards.
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective.
• Plan and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
