Job summary

Five Below is looking for a Store Manager or Manager on Duty to lead daily operations in a fast-paced retail environment. You will oversee receiving, merchandising, promotions, and team performance to deliver a WOW customer experience and meet sales goals.

The role requires at least 2 years of management experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to multi-task and stay composed under pressure. This hourly position may involve varied shifts and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for quick placement on the sales floor.
• Set up and maintain store displays; ensure accurate signage and promotions per resets and seasonal updates.
• Manage opening/closing procedures including cash security, doors, and alarms for smooth daily operation.
• Act as Manager on Duty when needed; oversee store operations, staff, customer service, and urgent issues.
• Oversee daily activities of store associates and ensure high performance and customer service.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates on policies, product knowledge, and procedures.
• Drive sales and control expenses by optimizing merchandising, staff performance, and customer service.
• Execute market plan with product placement and signage per corporate guidelines; update promotions.
• Ensure compliance with Inventory Integrity processes.
