Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores seeks a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join our Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and creating positive experiences for our communities. You’ll focus on merchandising and processing freight to keep shelves stocked and inviting.

This role supports daily store operations with emphasis on opening/closing procedures, asset protection, safety, and adherence to company policies. Excellent customer service and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, and moving.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Ensure store cleanliness and presentability throughout the shift.
• Provide professional, positive interactions with customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
