Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering value to communities. You’ll focus on merchandising and processing freight.

The role involves assisting with store functions, opening/closing, maintaining store cleanliness, and ensuring safety and compliance. You’ll collaborate with associates and leaders to create positive customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy team environment.
• Assist with store functions and merchandising responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process directives and communicate store activities as required.
• Maintain store cleanliness and restock as needed.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
