Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager at our Lebanon, IN location to assist the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering positive experiences for our communities. You’ll focus on merchandising and processing freight, ensuring store standards and safety guidelines are met.

In this role you will help with opening/closing, asset protection, stockroom organization, and executing corporate directives while maintaining a high-energy, customer‑friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as described.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Keep store clean and presentable and maintain bathrooms.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow according to productivity standards.
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated items.
