Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join the team and work alongside the Store Manager to lead a dynamic group of associates and deliver positive customer experiences.

The role emphasizes merchandising, freight processing, and daily store operations. You will help manage opening/closing procedures, maintain store assets, and ensure adherence to policies, safety guidelines, and company standards.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.
• Ability to thrive in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Maintain store areas to company standards (stockroom and sales floor).
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Ensure cleanliness and presentability of all store areas, including bathrooms.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow and stock decisions to productivity standards.
• Plan and merchandise monthly Sales Planners and maintain sales-effective displays.
