Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and focusing on merchandising and processing freight.

You will assist with all store functions, perform opening/closing tasks, protect assets, and maintain a clean, safe store while ensuring a positive customer experience. Strong communication and retail leadership are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail management or supervisory roles is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform repetitive tasks in a busy retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Keep store clean and presentable, including bathrooms and floors.
• Provide friendly, professional interactions with customers and team members.
• Assist Store Manager with: processing freight receipts/returns, managing freight flow, stocking merchandise including frozen/refrigerated items, and planning monthly Sales Planners.
