Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Taylor, MI is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to partner with the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering positive experiences for our communities.

You’ll focus on merchandising, processing freight, stocking merchandise, maintaining store standards, opening and closing procedures as needed, and protecting assets while ensuring a safe, engaging environment for customers and associates.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and presentation
• Ensure a positive, safe environment for customers, associates, and leaders
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise
• Manage freight flow and stock needs to meet productivity standards
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales items
• Implement monthly Sales Planners
