Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in East Stroudsburg, PA seeks a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join our store leadership team. You’ll work with the Store Manager to guide a dynamic team, focusing on merchandising and processing freight, while delivering positive experiences for customers and communities.

You will help maintain cleanliness, security of assets, and compliance with policies, while driving store performance and teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Ability to thrive in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
• Maintain store areas to company standards (stockroom and sales floor).
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and restock bathrooms, floors, and trash areas.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Process receipt/return of DSD merchandise and manage freight flow.
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated items.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective and plan merchandising layouts.
• Plan monthly Sales Planners and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels.
