Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Wyomissing, PA to partner with the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and driving positive customer experiences. You’ll focus on merchandising, freight processing, and maintaining store standards while ensuring safety and policy compliance.

You’ll assist with stock control, freight flow, and monthly sales planning, while supporting a high-energy, customer-focused environment and professional interactions across the team.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent mobility.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow in line with productivity standards.
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated items.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective.
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with items.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
