Job summary

The Merchandise Manager at The Michaels Companies, Inc. Daytona Beach, FL drives merchandising and operational execution, including truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards to deliver a customer-ready store.

You will own workload planning, pricing accuracy, and in-stock readiness, while training and coaching team members and ensuring compliance with SOPs and company programs. Evening and weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Experience with SOPs and company programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage adherence to SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards, holding team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty (MOD) coverage, maintaining floor leadership, service standards, and operational continuity.
• Lead truck execution processes for unloading, sorting, and flow of merchandise to the sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization, aligning staffing with business needs.
• Execute and maintain Store-In-Stock Optimization (SISO) routines to drive in-stock levels and replenishment accuracy.
• Oversee Planogram (POG) execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Support a clean, organized store environment including backroom organization and floor recovery.
• Manage inventory control, ensure product accuracy and stock movement.
• Execute ad sets with compliant promotional signage and placement.
• Complete price changes accurately and on time.
