All Lowe's associates deliver quality customer service while maintaining a store that is clean, safe, and stocked with the products our customers need. As a Merchandising Service Associate – Plant Service Lead, this means focusing on Live Plants while:

  1. Being friendly and professional while engaging vendors and associates to meet store needs,
  2. Ensuring signage, pricing information, and displays are accurate so that merchandise is easy to locate,
  3. Creating visually appealing product selections that are safe, clean, and easy for customers to access.

The Merchandising Service Associate – Plant Service Lead is primarily responsible for overseeing execution of all assigned Live Nursery merchandising resets, service responsibilities, and maintenance activities. This involves working outside in the garden center, ensuring merchandise is stocked, fronted, and priced according to planograms and store-specific merchandising standards (e.g., stock, displays, promotion space). The role requires close collaboration with the Merchandising Service Manager, team members, and store leaders to set priorities, identify store nursery service needs, and provide ongoing updates and feedback. Maintaining a safe and secure work environment through daily safety reviews, hazard identification, cleanliness, and security monitoring is essential. Travel is infrequent but may be necessary for meetings, training, or supporting other stores.

What you will do

  • Provide excellent customer service by adhering to Lowe's policies and procedures.
  • Build relationships with vendors and ensure merchandise resets meet Lowe’s standards.
  • Communicate project priorities, schedules, and needs with the team and manager.
  • Engage with customers when opportunities arise, assisting with locating, demonstrating, and loading merchandise, and responding promptly to questions.
  • Merchandise plants by planogram, including updating signage and ensuring displays are safe and attractive.
  • Identify and replace damaged signage, displays, and collateral as needed.
  • Update wayfinding signage and digital information throughout the store.
  • Ensure proper placement of cross merchandise and support add-on sales.
  • Assist with culling and pricing distressed plants.
  • Maintain communication with team members and communicate issues regarding quality, quantity, or needs to supervisors.
  • Adjust fixtures, rotate stock, and support display setup using power equipment.
  • Complete and document service and maintenance tasks with photographs and details.
  • Ensure displays are safe, functional, and repaired when necessary.
  • Handle packaging repairs and debris removal to maintain cleanliness.
  • Replace light bulbs and report maintenance issues.
  • Detect and report shoplifting, theft, or security risks promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas, conducting safety reviews and hazard identification.
  • Operate store equipment as needed, including lifts, phones, and surveillance systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Less than 1 year 6 months of live nursery or general merchandising experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Less than 1 year 6 months of Lowe’s sales floor experience.
  • 6 months of experience with product merchandising and reading planograms.
  • Less than 1 year 3 months operating power equipment like lifts and order pickers.
