Job summary

The Michaels Companies is seeking a Merchandise Manager to lead merchandising and operational execution at our Columbia, MO location. You will drive truck processing, in-stock routines, planogram sets, and visual standards to ensure a customer-ready store environment.

With 3+ years of retail leadership, you will partner with store leadership to optimize staffing, training, and compliance while overseeing pricing, promotions, and Ship-from-Store fulfillment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Experience enforcing SOPs and company programs.
• Strong merchandising and store operations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead truck execution: unloading, sorting, and flow of merchandise to the sales floor.
• Plan workload and staffing with store leadership to meet business needs.
• Drive in-stock through SISO routines and replenishment accuracy.
• Oversee Planogram (POG) execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Maintain clean, organized backroom and customer-ready sales floor.
• Manage inventory control, pricing integrity, and stock movement.
• Execute ad sets, price changes, and Ship from Store fulfillment.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with proper documentation.
• Lead shrink reduction initiatives and asset protection practices.
• Train, coach, and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing coaching.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure SOPs and company policies are followed.
