Job summary

Dollar Tree in Florence, SC is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering great guest experiences through merchandising and freight processing.

You will handle store operations, communications, and training, maintain stock, ensure safety, and support monthly sales planning. This role requires energy, strong communication, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs; you will work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and be comfortable with frequent walking, standing, and movement.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards
• Process corporate directives related to store activities
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms and floors
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise
• Manage freight flow and stock merchandise needs to productivity standards
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners
