Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join our team at Murrells Inlet. You will support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team, focusing on merchandising and freight processing, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

The role requires prior retail/managerial experience, strong communication, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs. You will work in a high-energy environment with frequent movement and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and perform frequent movement.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process corporate directives such as Pull and Hold/Destroy and other communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness including restrooms and floors; ensure areas are neat and presentable.
• Provide a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers, associates, and leaders.
• Assist Store Manager with duties: receipt/return of DSD merchandise; manage freight flow; stock merchandise incl. frozen & refrigerated; ensure sales floor is sales-effective; merchandise monthly Sales Planners.
