Job summary

Core-Mark is hiring a Merchandiser to support strategic sales initiatives in the assigned sales region. You will work with the Sales Team to execute the SmartStock program, maintain store compliance, and build strong customer relationships.

This position emphasizes professionalism and effective business execution to drive results for customers, vendors, and Core-Mark. Responsibilities include maintaining a detailed call routine, stocking and merchandising activities, reducing out-of-stocks,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Ability to drive to customer locations using personal transportation (mileage and gasoline reimbursement provided).
• Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle, and proper valid insurance.
• 1-2 years of working experience in a customer service, merchandising or sales position.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a detailed and specific call routine with a designated ledger of customers.
• Maintenance and execution of the SmartStock program (racks, plan-o-grams, ordering, and merchandising activities).
• Identifying and reducing out-of-stocks on shelves.
• Ensuring products are fresh and within date code parameters.
• Attending to customer needs and concerns promptly.
• Ensuring plan-o-gram, marketing best practices, and compliance in stores.
• Identifying display opportunities and maximizing display positioning.
• Ensuring that products are properly displayed, priced, and identified.
• Finding solutions to possible customer challenges with assistance.
• Performing other tasks and duties as assigned.
