Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a store leadership professional to plan, direct, and supervise daily operations across departments.

You will mentor team members, develop staffing plans, and drive customer service while ensuring product presentation and company standards are met. You will oversee staffing, training, and development, promote career growth, and help achieve sales goals with strong focus on customer satisfaction and safe operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience required.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas (meat, bakery, produce, deli) are helpful.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members; implement strategies to improve customer service and store sales.
• Maintain store appearance, prime shopping hours, product presentation and company standards.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs; promote succession planning.
• Document disciplinary actions and manage discharge recommendations.
• Achieve sales targets and control shrink; model exceptional customer service.
• Communicate Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings and conversations.
• Ensure team training is completed and continuously develop staff.
