Job summary

The Merchandise Operations Manager at PetSmart in Phoenix serves as the primary operations liaison for merchandising, pricing, and loyalty in-store activities. This individual contributor role partners with Merchandising, Pricing, Loyalty, Marketing, Store Ops, Finance, and Field Leadership to translate enterprise strategies into actionable store processes and drive sales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, retail management, merchandising, operations, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years in retail operations, merchandising operations, pricing, loyalty, or related project management experience required.
• Experience supporting enterprise retail initiatives and influencing cross-functional partners preferred.
• Willingness to travel 10–15% to stores, field meetings and company events.

Responsibilities

• Own the operationalization and enablement of merchandising, pricing, and loyalty initiatives to drive sales.
• Translate planner set, planogram, pricing, promotions, and loyalty requirements into clear store processes.
• Coordinate with Store Ops and partner teams on the commercial calendar for execution.
• Provide recommendations to improve readiness, adoption, and business impact of merchandising initiatives.
• Identify operational obstacles and simplify execution across planner sets and promotions.
• Foster partnerships with field and store operations to ensure initiative alignment with stores and customers.
