Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Asheville, NC seeks a Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational execution across truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards.

You will ensure pricing accuracy, timely promotions, and a customer-ready store environment through strong workload planning and inventory management. Lead with store leadership, manage SOPs, and coach teams for adherence to policies and asset protection.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience
• Ability to lead and manage SOPs and Company programs
• Ensure policy execution and accountability within the team

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading adherence to SOPs and Company programs
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards, holding team accountable
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership and service standards
• Lead truck execution processes for unloading, sorting, and flow of merchandise to the floor
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership
• Execute SISO routines to drive in-stock levels and replenishment accuracy
• Oversee Planogram execution and visual merchandising standards
• Support a clean, organized, customer-ready store environment including backroom
• Manage inventory control, product accuracy, and stock movement
• Execute ad sets with compliant, customer-focused signage and placement
• Complete price changes on time maintaining pricing integrity
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment and accurate order processing
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with proper inventory adjustments
• Manage store damages procedures and shrink reduction
• Train, coach, and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skills
• Partner in Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink and ensure safety
