Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a Physician for on-site MEPS medical evaluations to ensure compliance with OSHA, Privacy Act, DoD, and USMEPCOM standards. You will review records, take histories, perform physicals, interpret tests, and identify disqualifying conditions for applicants.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from a US/Canada-accredited school.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in a US territory or DC.
• At least 1 year of supervised clinical experience after degree.
• 3 years of graduate training in the specialty or equivalent experience.
• CAC or PIV preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive medical evaluations for MEPS applicants, ensuring full compliance with OSHA, Privacy Act, DoD, and USMEPCOM standards.
• Reviews medical records, conducts detailed histories and physical exams, interprets diagnostic tests, and identifies disqualifying conditions.
• Assesses all body systems, determines the need for additional exams, communicates abnormal findings to applicants, and updates medical staff for accurate database documentation.
• On-site duties at MEPS locations and coordination with consultants and Service waiver authorities.
