Job summary

Cherokee Federal is hiring a Physician to perform comprehensive medical evaluations for MEPS applicants at on-site locations across the United States. The role requires passing DoD clearance and CAC, with salary between $100 and $120 per hour and full-time benefits.

Responsibilities include reviewing records, histories, exams, and tests per DoD standards, and updating the USMEPCOM database. Candidates must be licensed physicians with relevant US training and certification.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required for Health Care Providers.
• Active medical license in at least one US jurisdiction.
• Preference for CAC or PIV credential.
• Physician must meet the education and licensing requirements stated.

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with OSHA/Privacy Act; coordinates with DoD and USMEPCOM.
• Reviews medical records, histories, and exams per DoD standards.
• Evaluates diagnostic tests to identify disqualifying conditions.
• Performs comprehensive in-person histories for prescreened applicants.
• Assesses injuries and disorders across body systems; conducts orthopedic-neurological exam.
• Informs applicants of abnormal findings; communicates with medical staff.
• Updates USMEPCOM applicant database.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
