Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a Physician for MEPS applicant evaluations in multiple on-site locations, including San Jose, CA. The role requires full compliance with OSHA, Privacy Act, and DoD standards, with comprehensive medical record reviews and detailed histories and exams.

The physician will interpret diagnostics, identify disqualifying conditions, and coordinate with medical staff, waivers, and consultants to maintain accurate database documentation and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from a US/Canada or equivalent foreign institution.
• Must hold a current, unrestricted medical license in the US (or equivalent).
• 3 years of graduate training in the specialty or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure OSHA and Privacy Act compliance per DoD and USMEPCOM standards.
• Conduct comprehensive medical record reviews, histories, and physical exams.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and identify disqualifying conditions for MEPS applicants.
• Coordinate with consultants and waiver authorities as needed.
