Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a Physician for on-site MEPS medical evaluations. You will perform comprehensive histories, physical exams, and record reviews to ensure compliance with DoD, OSHA, and USMEPCOM standards. The role requires CAC/PIV eligibility and an active U.S.

medical license. The position offers full-time benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K) and a starting hourly range of $100–$115, with a likely annual salary in the typical federal contractor range.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, unrestricted physician license in the U.S. or territory.
• CAC/PIV preference is noted for this position.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications do not supersede BLS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations for MEPS applicants per DoD/USMEPCOM standards.
• Review medical records, histories, exams, and diagnostic results; identify disqualifying conditions.
• Communicate abnormal findings to applicants and update medical staff and databases.
• On-site duties at MEPS locations; participate in credentialing and eligibility processes.
• Maintain readiness through required training and security clearance processes.
