Job summary

Westat, Inc. is hiring Field Interviewers to support the MEPS study, conducting in-person and video interviews with adults across the U.S. You will arrange visits, perform interviews, and collect consented documents using a Westat laptop.

Travel to training and some fieldwork are required. Positions are part-time with two data collection periods yearly. Work hours are often evenings/weekends; data can be transmitted daily.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older (or emancipated minor) with ability to sign confidentiality agreements.
• Complete mandatory web-based home study training between Jan 4–15, 2027.
• Attend mandatory in-person training in January 2027 including travel.
• Complete post-training web-based and virtual training activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted video interviews with adults.
• Contact households in-person or by phone to introduce MEPS and gain cooperation.
• Set appointments, complete interviews, and collect signed documents (electronic and hard copy).
• Transmit electronic data daily on workdays.
