Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking an MEP Site Manager (Data Centers) to lead field operations for mission-critical data center projects across the U.S. You’ll coordinate installation of MEP systems, manage schedules, and drive safety and quality on site.

You’ll collaborate with the MEP Project Manager to select subcontractors, develop scopes, and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery while maintaining customer satisfaction and company safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school with 10+ years of construction experience or 15+ years of related construction experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of industrial construction experience, with data center or mission-critical experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple, complex data center projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems including power distribution, cooling, commissioning, and equipment installation.
• Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, and leadership of large field teams.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills; ability to read and interpret drawings, reports, and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations focused on installation, coordination, and execution of critical MEP systems for mission-critical environments.
• Assist in locating and evaluating subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Assist in developing scopes of work and project schedules; prepare estimates for MEP self-performed work.
• Coordinate on-site construction activities from pre-start-up to completion; manage subcontractors and schedule.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and maintain safety and quality standards on site.
• Serve as on-site Safety Officer when not assigned and participate in the company’s safety program.
