Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking a dedicated MEP Site Manager (Data Centers) to lead field operations in delivering hyperscale data center projects. The role requires managing installation, coordination, and execution of critical MEP systems across sites nationwide.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, extensive industrial construction experience, and the ability to read complex drawings and manage schedules, cost control, and safety programs in a fast-paced field environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of construction experience OR a minimum 15 years related construction experience with increasing responsibility in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of industrial construction experience, with data center or mission-critical experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to fulfill all responsibilities for multiple, complex data center projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including power distribution, critical cooling infrastructure, commissioning processes, and equipment installation.
• Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, and the ability to effectively lead large field teams.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem solving skills.
• Must read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal/contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations focused on the successful installation, coordination, and execution of critical MEP systems that power and support mission-critical environments.
• Assist MEP Project Manager in locating and evaluating potential subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Assist in developing scopes of work for review and approval of MEP Project Manager.
• Assist in the development of MEP project schedule within the entire construction schedule and prepare estimates in areas of MEP self-performed work.
• Assist in selection of qualified bidders and negotiate final prices.
• Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up to completion.
• Schedule work, including subcontractors.
• Assist in ensuring customer satisfaction with the project.
• Establish and maintain high safety and quality standards.
