Job summary

The Walsh Group is seeking an MEP Quality Manager for a federal project in Kitsap, WA. You will champion quality programs, oversee inspections, testing, documentation and close-out to ensure safe, quality, and profitable execution.

You will mentor staff, establish KPIs, lead risk management and coordinate with owners, clients, and subs. AEC experience and applicable certifications are required, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• AEC Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent related field experience with certifications.
• USACE/NAVFAC/NRC Construction Quality Management certification preferred but not required.
• Industry certifications for testing and inspection as required.

Responsibilities

• Quality champion for a project or multiple projects, responsible for quality of works, material management, documentation and close-out.
• Coaches, mentors and trains project staff in quality management principles and project-specific requirements.
• Leading and managing quality processes such as work planning, pre-activity meetings, material management, Quality Incident Reports, Lesson Sharing and inspections.
• Establishes, monitors and reports on KPIs and QIRs to ensure continuous improvement; analyzes trends and implements improvements.
• Audits project quality programs and provides feedback on major QIRs, relationships, and non-conformances.
• Directs inspection, testing and documentation; schedules inspection/testing with ops, labs and Client.
• Creates project-specific inspection/test plans and QC plans; supports material spec reviews such as concrete mix design.
• Manages risk and improves profitability by process management and risk mitigation.
• Maintains relationships with owners, clients, subs, design partners and stakeholders.
• Supports Site Safety to meet safety goals.
• Monitors quality costs and rework; supports better budgeting and risk reporting.
