Job summary

Walsh Group in Kitsap, WA is seeking a MEP Quality Manager for a Federal construction project. You will implement and improve the Quality Management System, ensuring design and construction comply with contract requirements and company policies.

Lead quality planning, inspections, testing, and documentation to deliver safe, quality, and profitable execution. You’ll coach staff, establish KPIs, audit QC programs, manage risk, and coordinate with owners, subcontractors and design partners.

Qualifications

• AEC Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent related field experience.
• USACE/NAVFAC/NRC Construction Quality Management certification preferred.
• Industry certifications for testing and inspection as required.
• Minimum 7 years of AEC experience, with 3 years in a Quality role.
• Good communication, critical thinking and problem solving abilities.
• Limited travel for projects as necessary.
• Level 1 QCM certification.

Responsibilities

• Quality champion for a project or multiple projects, responsible for the quality management duties including quality of the works, material management, documentation and close-out.
• Coaches, mentors and trains project staff in quality management principles and project-specific requirements.
• Leads and manages quality processes such as work planning, material management and inspections.
• Establishes and reports KPIs and QIRs for project teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Audits project quality programs and communicates findings to Operations and Quality Management.
• Directs inspection, testing and documentation; schedules testing with operations, consultants, labs and Client.
• Develops project specific QA plans and reviews material specs; supports risk management strategies.
