Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in MEP, electrical construction or construction project management.
• Direct experience delivering data center or mission-critical construction projects.
• Strong electrical construction background with ability to coordinate electrical and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with critical power systems, including generators, UPS, switchgear, busway and distribution equipment.
• Understanding of data center cooling systems and MEP coordination.
• Experience with subcontractor management, procurement, scheduling, RFIs, submittals and change orders.
• Exposure to electrical or MEP testing, commissioning and project closeout.
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day electrical and MEP construction activities on data center projects.
• Coordinate electrical systems with mechanical, controls, fire protection and other building systems.
• Work with project leadership, subcontractors, vendors, consultants and clients.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, change orders and project documentation.
• Track schedules, budgets, procurement, quality and project progress.
• Coordinate critical systems, including generators, UPS, switchgear, busway, power distribution, cooling systems and controls.
• Monitor equipment deliveries, installation sequencing and subcontractor performance.
• Support testing, commissioning, inspections, reporting and project closeout.
• Identify and resolve technical, commercial and scheduling issues.

MEP Project Manager - Electrical Data Center Construction

Work Environment: Hybrid/Onsite role working with project leadership, field teams, electrical and mechanical subcontractors, vendors, consultants and clients. Travel may be required depending on the project.

Experience: 5-8 years of MEP or electrical construction project management experience, including direct experience on data center or mission-critical construction projects.

Package: $130,000-$160,000 base salary, plus performance bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Role Overview
