Job summary

SpaceX in the United States is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for Infrastructure to lead MEP design for a high-profile rocket factory. Based at the Starbase site, you will coordinate with cross-functional teams, review drawings, manage construction activities, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

You should have a degree in engineering and 1+ years of MEP documentation experience, plus proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit. This role requires extended hours and weekend work on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical, civil, electrical, or structural engineering.
• 1+ years of experience creating MEP construction documents including plans, elevations, sections, and details.

Responsibilities

• Lead MEP design and coordination for residential, commercial, and industrial projects
• Prepare and review design drawings and documents for mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems and specifications for a variety of engineering projects
• Manage construction activities related to MEP systems, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements
• Write and manage construction contracts with subcontractors across multiple disciplines through contract close-out
• Perform project control tasks, including project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
• Coordinate permit acquisition/closeout with permitting team
