Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer, Infrastructure to join our Starbase team building high-volume rocket facilities. You will lead MEP design and coordinate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver robust design details for complex projects.

You will manage construction activities, review drawings, and ensure compliance with codes and project requirements while driving cost control, schedules, and seamless handoffs to operations after construction completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical, civil, electrical, or structural engineering.
• 1+ years of experience creating MEP construction documents including plans, elevations, sections, and details.

Responsibilities

• Lead MEP design and coordination for residential, commercial, and industrial projects
• Prepare and review design drawings and documents for mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems
• Manage construction activities related to MEP systems, ensuring codes, standards, and project requirements
• Write and manage construction contracts with subcontractors across multiple disciplines through contract close-out
• Coordinate permit acquisition with permitting team
