Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced MEP Estimator in Orlando, FL to prepare detailed estimates for Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection trades based on design documents, narratives, and specifications.

You will report to the Preconstruction Manager / MEP Manager and collaborate with Turner staff, architects, engineers, and owners to ensure accurate, timely cost outcomes from concept through construction documents.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Ability to analyze contract documents, drawings, and specifications for cost allocation.
• Proven ability to coordinate with vendors and trade partners to gather pricing and bids.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills for presenting estimates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection trades from design through construction documents.
• Communicate estimate scope to Turner staff, architects, engineers, and owners.
• Develop quantity take-offs, analyses, and studies for MEP items.
• Conduct constructability reviews and identify design/constructability issues.
• Coordinate equipment pricing and participate in life cycle cost analyses with design teams.
• Prepare proposals for various contract types and participate in estimate reviews.
