Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with related estimating experience.
• Knowledge of Electrical, Technology, and LV systems.
• Ability to interpret contract docs, drawings, specs, and schedules.
• Strong communication and collaboration with vendors and teams.
• Proficient in MS Office; adaptable to new estimating tools.

Responsibilities

• Communicate electrical estimate and scopes of work to Turner staff, architects, engineers, and owners.
• Prepare complete quantity take-offs, analysis, estimate for Electrical/Technology/LV systems.
• Analyze site conditions and contract docs to define scope not shown.
• Develop relationships with suppliers and vendors for pricing.
• Build list of qualified bidders with trade partners.
• Perform constructability analysis and report issues to the team.
• Provide first costs analysis and lifecycle insights with Design team.
• Coordinate GC/GR items and utility consumption during construction.
• Coordinate equipment pricing with Turner Logistics for estimates.
• Develop value analysis to reduce costs on Electrical/Technology/LV systems.
• Serve as liaison to resolve cost issues with engineers and owners.
• Prepare and assemble estimates for lump sum, GMP, Cost Plus.
• Participate in estimate reviews with Design team and client.
• Assist hand-off to Operations and transfer knowledge from Preconstruction.
• Evaluate subcontractor proposals and manage scope gaps.
• Analyze change orders and gather cost-efficient bid data.
