Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates, LLC is seeking an experienced MEP Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection scopes on commercial/industrial projects. You will review drawings and specs, perform takeoffs, and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to build competitive bid packages.

The role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency with Excel and estimating software, and the ability to manage multiple estimates in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Experience estimating mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and/or fire protection for commercial or industrial projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Proficiency with Excel and estimating/takeoff software.

Responsibilities

• Review MEP/FP drawings, specifications, bid documents, and addenda to determine project scope and requirements.
• Prepare detailed estimates for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, controls, and related building systems.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
• Solicit pricing from qualified MEP subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
• Review and level subcontractor proposals to confirm scope coverage, identify exclusions, and evaluate pricing.
• Develop and maintain MEP bid tabs and scope comparisons.
