Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates in Charlotte, NC seeks an MEP Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems on commercial and industrial projects. You will review drawings, develop detailed takeoffs, and solicit subcontractor pricing to support bid packages.

You will collaborate with estimating, preconstruction, operations, and project management teams to ensure costs, scope, and scheduling are captured.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent MEP estimating experience preferred.
• Experience estimating MEP scopes for commercial/industrial projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, and technical docs.
• Knowledge of MEP systems, materials, equipment, and subcontractor scopes.

Responsibilities

• Review MEP/FP drawings and bid documents to determine scope and requirements.
• Prepare detailed estimates for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
• Solicit pricing from qualified MEP subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
