Edgewater Technical Associates, LLC is seeking a qualified MEP Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems on commercial and industrial projects.

The role requires reviewing drawings and specifications, developing detailed unit costs, performing quantity takeoffs, and coordinating with subcontractors and vendors to build comprehensive bid packages.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent MEP estimating experience.
• Experience estimating mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and/or fire protection scopes.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.

Aufgaben

• Review MEP/FP drawings, specs, bid documents and addenda.
• Prepare detailed estimates for MEP scopes.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost estimates (labor/material/equipment).
• Solicit pricing from MEP subcontractors, suppliers, vendors.
• Review and level subcontractor proposals for scope coverage and pricing.
• Develop and maintain MEP bid tabs and scope comparisons.
• Identify scope gaps and coordination issues between trades.
• Prepare subcontractor scopes of work and Exhibit B docs.
• Evaluate alternates and value-engineering opportunities.
• Coordinate with estimating/preconstruction teams on pricing.
• Assist with changes and change-order pricing as needed.
• Support turnover by documenting estimate assumptions and scope.
