Job summary

Raymond is seeking an experienced Director of MEP to provide strategic and technical leadership for the firm's mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines. You will oversee engineering teams, manage workloads, and align resources with project needs to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Collaborate with project managers and senior leadership to develop departmental plans, recruit and mentor staff, and advance standards, training, and new technologies while supporting business development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET/EAC-accredited program or equivalent; review required for non-American degrees.
• 15+ years of experience with ABET/EAC degrees; 22+ years for non-American degrees with US experience.
• Extensive experience in Mechanical and Plumbing or Electrical engineering for architectural projects.
• Experience with AutoCAD, REVIT, Trane TRACE and specification writing.
• Strong knowledge of codes and standards related to mechanical/electrical engineering.
• FE and PE licensure; US licensure and NCEES record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for Mechanical and Electrical Engineering disciplines.
• Develop department plans aligned with company goals.
• Forecast staffing needs based on workload, proposals, and opportunities.
• Manage personnel utilization and assign staff to projects.
• Monitor project progress to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Lead, mentor, and develop MEP staff; provide career development.
• Develop training programs to ensure consistent project delivery and growth.
• Oversee engineering standards, templates, and new technologies.
• Review drawings, specifications, and calculations for quality and compliance.
• Support business development and client relations.
