Job summary

ARCO, a Family of Construction Companies, seeks an Engineer to join our MEP team in Downers Grove, IL. You will collaborate with project managers and other MEP engineers to support design, estimation, and coordination for industrial, life sciences, food & beverage, and manufacturing facilities.

The role requires knowledge of mechanical system design principles and participation in day-to-day design/coordination tasks, not limited to production work.

Qualifications

• Minimum GPA of 3.2 out of 4.0.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering program or related field of study.
• Prior industry internship experience is a plus.
• Extracurricular involvement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for large-scale buildings in controlled agriculture, industrial, process/manufacturing, and commercial sectors.
• Review construction drawings and specifications for MEP systems from schematic through construction document phases.
• Assist in the development of construction documents.
• Work with senior engineers to determine project MEP requirements to meet project needs and comply with safety codes.
• Review shop drawings for compliance with specifications and contract documents.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

GPA 3.2/4.0
