ARCO, a family of construction companies, seeks a Project Manager for its Downers Grove, IL team. You will own project performance, client satisfaction, and lead projects from design through completion with full profit responsibility.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Engineering, 2–5 years in construction management, and proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and MS Project. You will lead client meetings, coordinate design teams and subs, manage budgets, and ensure safety and quality throughout the

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of construction management or engineering design experience.
• Experience leading ground up commercial, light industrial, multi-family, hospitality, or entertainment construction projects preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all project management aspects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Work closely with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget.
• Participate in the proposal meeting with clients to review scope, discuss cost reductions, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees.
• Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors.
• Identify opportunities to procure material and/or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to project budget or schedule.
• Work with Project Superintendent to develop and review subcontractor scopes of work/contracts, project schedule, and site logistics plan.
• Lead preconstruction planning meetings with all designers, subcontractors and vendors to solve constructability, sequencing, and manpower issues.
• Lead weekly/bi-weekly OAC meetings on-site after construction begins to review progress and address challenges.
• Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports.
