Job summary

Ardurra seeks a licensed Mechanical Engineer Team Lead for the MEP division in Durham, NC. You will lead the MEP team across K-12, higher education, healthcare, life sciences, municipal and state projects, and manage design strategies in line with codes and client input.

The role requires a PE in NC and 6+ years of relevant experience. Hybrid work is available with two days in the office per week, and opportunities to grow within the MEP practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required; Master's preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in North Carolina.
• 6+ years in design and construction of MEP systems and buildings.
• Experience leading and managing MEP teams and projects.

Responsibilities

• Day to day management of the MEP team in the Durham, NC office.
• Provide leadership and guidance on MEP design and project management for diverse facilities.
• Develop and implement MEP design strategies compliant with codes and standards.
• Main point of contact and maintain relationships with clients.
• Financial planning, budgeting, and achieving targets.
• Negotiate fees, contracts and deliverables.
• Drive business development in the Raleigh/Durham area.
• Secure new opportunities and manage staffing levels.
• Oversee hiring and team structure.
