Job summary

Ardurra Group, Inc. in Durham, NC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with project management responsibilities to lead electrical design for large-scale commercial, educational, and industrial projects.

You will manage schedules, budgets, client communications, and cross-discipline coordination while mentoring junior staff. The ideal candidate has a strong background in power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems, plus PE licensure or progress toward one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline is required.
• Minimum 6+ years of experience in electrical engineering roles.
• Professional Engineer license or the ability to pursue one.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with engineering design tools and software.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of electrical systems for large-scale projects.
• Apply power distribution, grounding, lighting, and fire alarm design expertise.
• Act as Project Manager for electrical components of multi-discipline projects.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and clients for design integration.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, IBC, IECC, and NFPA; perform QA reviews.
• Conduct field investigations and site visits; support department growth.
