Job summary

Trueline in Salt Lake City, UT seeks an MEP Preconstruction Manager to lead design-phase on complex commercial projects, focusing on electrical systems, estimating, designer and trade partner selection, scheduling and commissioning planning, with a hybrid work schedule.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of construction experience, 5+ years in estimating or on-site management (including 1–2 years as a Preconstruction Manager), and a humble, team-first approach with ability to travel up to 70%.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience.
• Ability to travel up to 70% to project sites.
• Experience with design phase activities and BIM/VDC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design phase for concurrent commercial projects including estimating, supplier selection, scheduling, design development, QC, and commissioning planning.
• Define project expectations with owners and critical success factors during design.
• Solicit, select, and contract designers on design-build projects.
• Develop and present project proposals and establish design-phase baselines.
