Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction experience.
• 5+ years of estimating or on-site project management experience, including 1-2 years as a Preconstruction Manager.
• Thorough knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and low-voltage systems.
• Leadership experience with ability to build relationships at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage the design phase for concurrent commercial projects, including estimating and scheduling.
• Collaborate with owners to define project expectations and success factors.
• Solicit, select, and contract designers on design-build projects.
• Develop and present project proposals.
• Create detailed design-phase and baseline construction schedules.
• Lead construction planning, including contracts, subcontractors, and BIM/VDC usage.
• Guide design teams on constructability and programming input.
• Lead estimating team on design-side work and cost documentation.
• Control design-phase costs through estimates, VE, and life-cycle analysis.
• Secure regulatory approvals and insurance/bonding requirements; track LEED.
• Mentor Design Phase Engineers and aid hiring decisions.
• Maintain strong client relationships and identify future opportunities.

Bachelor's degree in Construction, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
