Job summary

Texans Together in Houston is seeking a Mentor Program Specialist to develop, coordinate, and support mentoring and onboarding initiatives that boost employee engagement, growth, and retention. The role partners with program leaders to ensure new hires receive structured guidance, coaching, and support as they transition into their roles.

You will recruit, train, and support mentors, monitor mentoring relationships, and collaborate with Human Resources and Learning & Development to strengthen

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience in child welfare or CPS.
• Three years of experience in employee development, training, or mentoring.
• Experience facilitating training or group learning sessions.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, supervision, or staff development.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the TTG mentor program for newly hired staff.
• Recruit, train, and support TTG mentors.
• Match mentors with new employees based on program guidelines.
• Monitor mentoring relationships and provide ongoing coaching to mentors.
• Prepare reports regarding mentoring activities and program effectiveness.
• Collaborate with HR, Learning & Development, and program leadership.
• Assist with orientation and onboarding activities for new staff.
• Develop mentor training sessions and resource materials.
• Track mentoring milestones and documentation.
• Conduct mentor orientation and ongoing development sessions.
