Job summary

AtlantiCare seeks a Certified Mentor Doula - Per Diem to lead and mentor hospital-based doulas, integrating them with the labor and delivery team to ensure high-quality, culturally responsive care.

The role supports onboarding, competency development, and ongoing professional growth, while collaborating with nurses, physicians, midwives, and other clinicians to improve maternal and infant outcomes.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized doula training program from NJ Family Care approved training programs.
• Mentor doula must be enrolled as fee-for-service providers or working toward enrollment within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of active doula experience with mentoring/training or supervising doulas.
• Experience mentoring, training, precepting or supervising doula staff or mentors.
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution and advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Support onboarding and integration of new hospital-based doulas.
• Provide mentorship, coaching and professional guidance to doula staff.
• Ensure adherence to evidence-based doula practice standards and equitable care delivery.
• Maintain documentation and support grant reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, midwives and other clinical staff to improve outcomes.
