Job summary

The DREAM Program is seeking a Mentor Coordinator to support Youth Service Managers in training, recruiting, and supporting volunteer mentors for the Village Mentoring program. The role focuses on providing holistic support to mentees and ensuring mentors are well-trained and engaged.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the Youth Services Manager for mentee needs assessments, fostering community partnerships, and maintaining a 1:1 mentor-mentee ratio while planning chapter wellness and

Qualifications

• Citizenship or lawful permanent resident status required for AmeriCorps.
• Age 17+ at start of service (or 16 with program eligibility).
• Commitment to entire service term.
• Ability to regularly meet in person at assigned location and transportation access.
• Bilingual - Spanish speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure volunteer mentors understand Village Mentoring model and their role.
• Coordinate with Youth Services Manager for mentee needs assessment and partnerships.
• Provide resources and training to mentors for high-quality mentoring.
• Build relationships with each mentor and mentee in the chapter.
• Plan for chapter wellness including recruitment, support for graduating mentors, and background checks.
