Job summary

The DREAM Program, Inc. in Bennington, Vermont is seeking a Mentor Coordinator who will support Youth Service Managers by training and recruiting volunteer mentors for the Village Mentoring and Afterschool program.

This role focuses on holistic support for mentees and ensuring mentors understand their responsibilities. You will work 10–15 hours per week, primarily in late afternoons and evenings, with occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be a DREAM Chair or Returning AmeriCorps Member.
• Commitment to the entire service term.
• Willingness to serve 10–15 hours per week including afternoons/evenings.
• Access to reliable phone and transportation as needed.
• Ability to work across diverse communities with respect.

Responsibilities

• Support Youth Service Manager with mentor training and resources.
• Recruit and maintain volunteer mentors for Village Mentoring and Afterschool.
• Build relationships with mentors and mentees; ensure 1:1 mentor/mentee ratio.
• Coordinate with staff for chapter wellness and progress.
• Attend weekly meetings and chapter events; support program goals.
