Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Must have health screening and TB test.
• Criminal record clearance required.
• 1 year experience in mental health.
• Bachelor's/Master's degree preferred.
• Pursuing mental/behavioral health field preferred.
• 1-2 years in similar role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient whereabouts and document behaviors; daily rounds report.
• Facilitate patient attendance at activities.
• Observe and document client issues/complaints.
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges as assigned.
• Orient new patients to the facilities.
• Provide direct patient care as assigned by licensed staff.
• Facilitate UA testing for medication levels.
• Ensure a safe environment for staff and clients.
• Supervise self-administration of medication program.
• Transport residents to/from appointments and activities using company transportation.
• Explain facility rules to new admissions.
• Familiar with community resources.
• Seek corrective feedback and evaluate suggestions.
• Build and maintain relationships with residents and staff.
• Attend training meetings.
• Demonstrate adaptability to changes in work environment.
• Assist with upkeep of facility.
• Use complex computer systems effectively.
• Complete incident reports and safety/risk communications promptly.
