Job summary

Ahhmgt is seeking a Mental Health Technician to provide direct care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in a hospital or clinical setting. The role involves observing and documenting patients’ behavior, reactions, and progress, and assisting with daily living activities to promote safety and well-being.

Responsibilities include participating in group activities, supporting treatment programs, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred; additional schooling in psychiatric/psychology a plus.
• One year experience with acute or chronic mentally ill clients, preferably in inpatient setting.
• Must read, write, and speak English; mental alertness and quick reaction in crises.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Observe, document, and communicate patients' behavior, reactions, appearance, progress and declining condition.
• Assist in maintaining patients' safety and support activities of daily living.
• Participate in groups and program activities; respond to emergencies as appropriate.
