Ridgeview Institute Monroe is seeking a full-time Mental Health Technician to provide continuous care, supervision, and positive role modeling for patients across age groups under RN supervision.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant or NAR required.
• Degree in social work, recreational therapy, psychology, human services or related field preferred.
• CPR certification and crisis intervention training within 10 days of employment before assisting with restraining procedures.

Responsibilities

• Accurately record vital signs.
• Exercise judgment in patient interactions and report changes to the RN.
• Follow therapeutic interventions outlined by the treatment team and provide information for development and revision.
• Employ crisis-intervention techniques, conduct MHT-led groups, and use facility-approved CPI techniques.
• Assist patients through discharge, guide in adjusting to life changes, and help with personal hygiene.
• Comply with policies for a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment, practicing universal precautions and responding to patient care priorities.
